EAst Village Tour Details:

Our East Village tour takes place in one of New York’s most historic neighborhoods, famous for providing fertile ground for the visual arts, political and social unrest, the birth of the Beats and hippies, and ultimately the explosion of Punk Rock. We’ll shine a light on some of the artists, activists, outlaws, and places that give NYC its unique character as capital and influencer of the international counterculture. 

The area has attracted radicals, free speech champions, cutting-edge painters, sculptors, musicians, and poets. From Leon Trotsky and Abbie Hoffman to Allen Ginsberg, Patti Smith, and Lady Gaga, the neighborhood has always been a home to revolution, art, and alternative lifestyles.  CBGB’s, Cooper Union, St. Mark’s Place, The Public Theater, the Yiddish Rialto and the Fillmore East have all lended themselves to the petri dish of creativity that makes up this fascinating neighborhood.

Our tour begins at one of New York’s donut institutions, Donut Pub, which has been around for over 50 years and has some of the best donuts in New York City. We’ll showcase some of their most famous flavors and you’ll get to sample several of them.  We’ll also get to enjoy the classic Italian Bomboloni that you’ll swear came right from the old country; signature cardamom buns which were recently a viral sensation on TikTok; and last, but not least, we’ll taste some incredible artisan donuts which rotate regularly both in style and flavors.
