Discover the sweeter and spookier side of Boston on the Boston Haunted Donut Tour: Sweet Treats & Spooky Stories. This walking adventure combines delicious donuts and sweet treats with ghost stories, local legends, historic cemeteries, and some of the city’s most famous landmarks.
Your tour begins in downtown Boston, where we’ll enjoy our first sweet treat before diving into the city’s fascinating and sometimes eerie past. From here, we’ll make our way to Granary Burying Ground, established in 1660 and the final resting place of Paul Revere, Samuel Adams, John Hancock, and other notable figures. While viewing the weathered headstones, your guide will share strange legends, fascinating stories, and some of the darker moments in Boston history.
We’ll continue through the historic streets of downtown, stopping for more delicious treats while uncovering tales from Boston’s colonial past. Along the way, we’ll explore the area surrounding Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market, where protests, celebrations, crime, conflict, and revolution have all left their mark.
Next, we’ll visit Boston Public Market for another tasty stop before heading toward the historic North End, Boston’s oldest residential neighborhood. Today, the area is famous for Italian restaurants and bakeries, but its narrow streets and old brick buildings also provide the perfect backdrop for tales of mysterious happenings, unusual characters, and local folklore.
After another sweet stop in the North End, we’ll continue toward Old North Church, forever connected to Paul Revere’s legendary midnight ride. Your guide will share stories about the people and events that shaped this historic neighborhood while revealing a few of its more mysterious legends.
Our adventure concludes at Copp’s Hill Burying Ground, dating back to 1659 and the final resting place of thousands of early Bostonians. Surrounded by historic gravestones and overlooking the North End, it’s a fitting finale to our journey through Boston’s haunted past.
Come hungry and bring your curiosity as we combine donuts, sweet treats, ghost stories, local legends, and Boston history into one deliciously spooky walking adventure.
